We have the answers!

Baybala is an Alabama based small business. We design all of our products from our studio in Birmingham. Our creative team is led by our Founder and Birmingham native Katie Gaston. Many of our designs are inspired by heirloom pieces Katie and her family wore when they were children. A former interior designer, Katie is also inspired by vintage textiles and natural, timeless colors.

We take a lot of care in the selection of our production partners. The majority of our products are made in India, in factories Katie has visited, and Madagascar, where 99% of the employees of our partners are single women or widows allowing them to learn and provide for themselves in a country where women are disproportionately affected by poverty. Occasionally, we also produce pieces in vetted facilities in China when we are unable to source materials or specific skill sets with our other partners.

Please follow the care instructions as stated on the label.  We work closely with our manufacturers to produce items that can be washed by hand or machine. Our care instructions come from our manufacturers, and should be followed to keep your items in their best shape. Please note that we’re unable to replace or refund items damaged by improper care. If you choose to go against the care instructions (we are all guilty of this!), please note that is at your own risk.

Our size guides are offered on each product page. Please select "Size & Fit" and you will be able to view the product measurements and size conversion chart.

Our inventory is typically made in limited runs, which means that pieces do sell out and are not often restocked in the exact same print and silhouette. The best way to receive notification of restock of a sold out item is to sign up via the “Notify Me When Available” button on the product page. You will need to select the size you are interested in to make the button appear. 

Please note that once an item from a collection sells out the only way to get that item again will be from a return. Returns come back one at a time but the Back In Stock Alert will go out to everyone who signed up for it in that size, so be sure to act fast when you receive a notification as those single pieces typically sell very quickly.

We try our best to ship all packages from our Alabama location within two business days of receipt of the order (excluding holidays). If you need to receive your order quickly, please select an expedited shipping option when checking out. All orders placed with expedited shipping will be prioritized and sent out the same day if the order is received before 12pm CST Monday through Friday.

We only offer digital gift cards. Gift cards are sent upon purchase directly to the email address you used at checkout. From there you can simply forward the gift card email to the intended recipient, or if you’d like a physical copy, you can open it from the email, print it out, and give the paper to the recipient.

If you are not completely satisfied with your Baybala.com purchase, you may send it back to us for an exchange or a refund. 

Items discounted 40% or greater are eligible for store credit only. A discount code will be issued to the customer upon receipt of the return. 

Items discounted 60% or greater are Final Sale and not eligible for return.

Returns shall be accepted if postmarked within 14 days of date received.

Baybala is pleased to offer flat rate return shipping of $6.99 on all returns that will be deducted from the total cost of the return. 

Special Orders are Final Sale. No exchanges or returns on Special Orders will be accepted.

All merchandise must be returned unworn, unwashed and with hang tags intact. We have the right to deny a return or credit if the merchandise does not meet our return policy requirements.

We do not refund original or return shipping costs.

Refunds are processed within 14 days after we receive the merchandise. You will receive a confirmation by email when your credit has been processed.

We are unable to refund any import tax/duty (apart from Alabama State sales tax) that your order may have incurred for returned items. Please be advised that any exchanges may require additional tax/duty for import to delivery destinations outside the US.

Should a customer require more than one return shipping label, the return shipping on the second parcel will be paid in full by the customer and deducted from the amount refunded.

We will honor price adjustments within 14 days of your full-price purchase. The product must still be available in the same size originally purchased to qualify, and only initial markdowns will qualify for this price adjustment as opposed to any subsequent markdowns. If you wish to request a price adjustment in accordance with this policy, please contact info@shopbaybala.com

We cannot apply price adjustments for temporary sales or discount code usage. We can only apply this to permanent markdowns.

Coupon codes must be rendered at checkout. If a coupon code shows that it is expired or unavailable, it means it has been used in a past order or the window of use has passed. Our system cannot apply these again or outside the windows specified.

We do not offer gift wrapping at this time.

An order can only be modified or canceled as long as the order has not been processed yet. Please reach out to info@baybala.com if you would like to make an adjustment and we will see what we can do, but we cannot make any guarantees.

Yes! We offer several different shipping priority options. 

Please select the service that you prefer from the dropdown menu during checkout. 

We ship via USPS and UPS and our free shipping offering includes the most economical option. If you prefer a specific carrier, we suggest you select that from the shipping options.

An order confirmation email is sent automatically when an order is placed. After confirming that your order confirmation email did not go to your spam/junk folder, and you believe it may have failed to be delivered, we would be happy to assist you. Please contact us at info@baybala.com

Once your order has been shipped, Baybala will send you a shipping confirmation email and tracking number.

For orders showing as delivered that are not present at your residence or show up damage, please email us at info@baybala.com . While Baybala, LLC is not responsible for errors made by shipping carriers or incorrectly entered information, we will do our best to assist you in any way we can.
